Melee Midge was raised by Bostonians, but dodged the accent. She loves yoga, bunny rabbits, granola, women, and homemade t-shirts. When she’s off the derby track, she intends to be writing poetry or practicing meditation. Her dream job would probably be to open and run a combination tea house / bookstore / concert venue / independent movie theater / artists’ retreat. Or to get paid to write poems.

1. She once made a living scaring people (in a Haunted House).2. She brews her own alcohol and makes her own yogurt.
3. She’s been to prison many times…to teach poetry workshops to inmates.
4. She haggles better in Mandarin than in English.

The Lunar New Year holiday weekend cometh. WE ARE GEARED UP AND READY. Rink closures possible…drills on the slopes?
Also, private rink time next weekend for league practice. You mean, I won’t have to slam myself into a rail to avoid taking out a Korean pip-squeak in pink pretty princess roller-blades that totally saw me sprint skating and decided to skate across to the exit anyway? There might not be snack-cracker crumbs sticking to my wheels? Whatever will we do with such freedom?!?!
Another very cold practice. Seriously, this place is on an icy icy mountain. After awhile, the groupies got too cold to gawk and had to go sit next to a decrepit space heater from the 1930’s :p
